Who We Are

PolyLoop Recycling Corp. is a technology company on the cutting edge of two of the most strategically important frontiers of our era: the chemical recycling of plastic waste and artificial intelligence driven scientific discovery.

The Technology

The biggest barrier to chemical plastic recycling has never been the science it has been the cost and time required to find the right catalyst. Traditional catalyst discovery relies on years of physical laboratory testing, trial and error, and enormous research budgets that put breakthroughs out of reach for most companies. The PolyLoop Catalyst Intelligence Engine is not a general purpose AI tool. It is a domain specific AI platform built exclusively for one purpose: finding the catalyst that unlocks economically viable chemical recycling of plastic at scale. Every component of the PCIE has been purpose engineered for this mission.

The Probelm we are solving

The United States generates 40 million tons of plastic waste every year and 95% of it, roughly 38 million tons, ends up either buried in a landfill or burned. Despite decades of investment in recycling infrastructure, less than 5% of plastic is actually recycled, and that number has been declining, not improving.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that the infrastructure to collect and sort plastic already exists. Curbside recycling bins sit in hundreds of millions of homes. Sorting facilities process thousands of tons of material every single day. The upstream side of recycling works. The problem has always been at the point of conversion, it is simply not economically viable to chemically process the mixed plastics that arrive at sorting facilities and turn them into usable fuel, feedstock, or virgin quality plastic.
The barrier is not the chemistry. The science of breaking plastic back down to its original hydrocarbon building blocks is proven. The barrier is the cost. Without a catalyst that operates at low temperatures, survives hundreds of reaction cycles, and works without expensive controlled environments, chemical recycling cannot compete economically. That gap is exactly what PolyLoop was built to close.

Our Solution

PolyLoop operates on two fronts simultaneously, combining proven Nobel Prize backed chemistry with a proprietary AI platform to attack the plastic waste crisis from both ends.
On the first front, we are commercializing catalyst technology built directly on the groundbreaking organometallic research of our Chief Technology Officer, Nobel Laureate Prof. Richard R. Schrock. Our current catalyst technology already achieves plastic breakdown at just 275–330°C more than 200°C below conventional thermal pyrolysis with conversion rates of 85–93%. This is not a concept or a projection. It is documented, peer reviewed science that is ready to be optimized and scaled.
On the second front, we are deploying our proprietary AI platform the PolyLoop Catalyst Intelligence Engine to accelerate the discovery of the next generation catalyst that will make chemical recycling economically viable at scale. By combining expert curated chemistry data, embedded physics constraints, and a virtual laboratory capable of running hundreds of computational experiments before a single physical test is conducted, the PCIE compresses what would traditionally take years of laboratory work into months of guided discovery.
The outcome of both fronts working together is a true closed loop. Mixed plastic waste goes in, and domestic fuel and high value chemical feedstocks come out with no foreign supply chain dependency, no new fossil fuel extraction required, and no more burying one of America’s most valuable untapped energy resources in the ground.
